[email protected]Send a drive log
The single most useful thing you can send after a bad drive. It records what the app did — no typed destinations, no precise coordinates.

A wrong-way instruction, a turn that does not exist, a road that should not be routed. We treat these ahead of everything else.

Does Rooto work without a signal?
Yes, and that is the point of it. Before you set off, Rooto saves the roads around your whole route onto your phone. If the signal drops, turn-by-turn keeps going and Rooto reroutes on its own. You will see No signal. Still navigating. while that is happening, and a summary of it when you arrive.
Why does Rooto need my location in the background?
So directions and spoken guidance keep working when your screen is off or you switch to another app. Without background access, guidance stops the moment you leave the app.
The route ignored my vehicle's height or weight.
Vehicle settings are a preference, not a guarantee. Map data on bridge clearances and weight limits is incomplete: a road with no recorded height looks exactly like a road that has never been surveyed. Always read the road sign. It is the authority, not the app.
Can I open a route I planned somewhere else?
Yes. Export a GPX file from Kurviger, Rever, a Garmin or anywhere else, then in Rooto open search and choose Open a GPX route. Rooto matches the line to real roads and gives you proper turn-by-turn along it. You can also export any Rooto route as GPX from the share sheet.
A place I searched for did not come up.
Tell us exactly what you typed and roughly where you were. Search is the part of a navigation app we care most about getting right, and a real example of a miss is the most useful thing you can send us.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone, including your trips and saved places. There is no account to close. See the privacy policy for what reaches our servers and how long it is kept.
Rooto Pro
What is Rooto Pro, and what stays free?
Turn-by-turn navigation, the spoken guidance, lane guidance, hazard alerts, basic CarPlay and search are free, with no ads and no account. Rooto Pro is the part that keeps working when your signal stops: the roads around your whole route saved before you leave and rerouting on your phone with no bars, plus speed-camera alerts, live traffic, trip sharing, route files and longer multi-stop trips. Prices are shown in the app.
How does the free trial work?
The yearly plan starts with 30 free days, long enough to include a real drive through a dead zone. The price you will be charged afterwards is printed right under the button before you tap it. Nothing is charged during the trial, and you can cancel any time: on iPhone in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, on Android in the Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancel before the 30 days end and you pay nothing.
I got a new phone, or reinstalled. Where did Rooto Pro go?
Open Rooto, tap Rooto Pro on the home screen, then Restore Purchases. There is no account: your purchase belongs to your Apple ID on iPhone, or your Google account on Android, and the store hands it back to any phone signed in with it.
I was an early tester. Do I have to pay?
No. If you installed Rooto before it started charging, it is yours for good, on every phone signed in with the same Apple ID. It is keyed on the App Store's own record of when you first installed, so it survives reinstalls and needs no account. The home screen shows Founding driver. If it does not, tap Restore Purchases once while online, and if that still does not fix it, tell us.
How do I cancel, or ask for a refund?
Subscriptions and refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. The quickest way to cancel on either phone: tap Manage subscription under Rooto Pro in the app.
iPhone. To cancel: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Rooto. To ask for a refund: reportaproblem.apple.com.
Android. To cancel: the Play Store → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Rooto. To ask for a refund: your Google Play order history. Google handles requests in the first 48 hours after a charge; after that it asks you to contact us, at [email protected].
Cancelling keeps Rooto Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
Will the price go up?
Not for you. Whatever you pay when you subscribe is the price you keep for as long as you stay subscribed, even if the price for new subscribers changes later.
I have a code.
Tap Rooto Pro on the home screen, then Redeem code. On iPhone, Apple's own redemption sheet opens and the code is applied to your Apple ID. On Android, Google Play's redeem page opens and the code is applied to your Google account; Rooto Pro shows when you come back to the app.
Three steps
Sending a drive log
If something went wrong on a drive, this is the single most useful thing you can send. It records what the app did — and it contains no typed destinations and no precise coordinates.
Long-press the version
Press and hold the small version number shown in the app.
Share drive log
Choose Share drive log. The share sheet opens with the file attached.
Send it to us
Pick Mail, and send it to [email protected] with a line about what happened. AirDrop or Messages to yourself works too.
Prefer a file you can keep? Save drive log in the same dialog writes it
to Files app → Rooto → drive_logs. The same dialog has Help &
support, which opens this page.
Reporting something unsafe
If Rooto ever gives guidance you believe is dangerous — a wrong-way instruction, a turn that does not exist, a road that should not be routed — please tell us straight away and include the drive log. We treat those ahead of everything else.
